Sky Bar, a modernistic view
« on: December 01, 2008, 12:27:43 AM »
Sky Bar, Petro Palace

The Sky Bar is a modern space on the 7th floor of the Petro Palace Hotel between Palace Square and St. Isaac's Cathedral.

The modern blue and white decor makes a good first impression, but the service and the view were below expectations.
They advertise the best view, but really it is a view of some old buildings across the street and a glimspe of the to of the Admiralty Spire. You can get a much better view of the admiralty from the nearby streets.

It opens at 5 pm, a decent cocktail lounge.
The help will leave you alone it seems. Not the friendly greetings you expect from a new hotel catering to tourists.

Favorite Dish: You can order food, but the flat couches and coffee tables are not really conducive to eating food. Not really comfortable. The best seats are the bar stools that face the window.
