In St. Petersburg, begins a big jam seyshn.  Student Festival opens Close Encounters Helsinki - Saint-Petersburg.
In St. Petersburg today called III International Music Students Festival Close Encounters Helsinki - Saint-Petersburg - Great jam seyshn.  The event will take place in the Small "Ellingtonovskom Hall Philharmonic Hall Jazz at [b]Zagorodnyj Ave, 27[/b], reported the press service of the Committee on Culture, the city government.
Festival for young musicians, now in its third year represent pop of Music College. Musorskogo and Conservatory of popular and jazz music in Helsinki.
This year it will be not only in St. Petersburg, but also in Helsinki.
Also in this year's festival will young French musicians - students of Music Academy International of Nancy
Artistic director of the festival - the famous jazz composer and pianist Andrei Kondakov.
The main objective of the festival, organizers said - to provide additional opportunities for young talents in Finland, Russia and France, the exchange of new ideas.
The Festival gives young musicians a unique opportunity to present their works in front of an entirely new audience, and create joint projects with students from other countries - told the committee on culture
On the Russian side at the festival will present the draft of college students, talented pianists: Dina Sineglazovo quintet and the quartet of Svetlana Marinchenko LIGHTMUSIC (class Kondakova), Big Bend College. Mussorgsky, as well as performances of other young musicians of St. Petersburg in the jam session at the Philharmonic and Jazz vocalist from Novosibirsk, a student Berklee College of music (USA) Inna Dudukina.
Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory will present two group: Ka-Tet Quintet, absorbed the best trends in modern jazz, inspired by the creativity of vibraphonist Joe Locke and drummer Bill Stewart, and the ensemble LATVA - a new fresh sound expressive folk-pop with elements of electronic music.
France will show the international project UGETSU, bringing together young musicians from France, Italy, Algeria, representing the original music band leader guitarist Sebastien Bara - sparkling fusion of funk, jazz with elements of Latin music.
