Cartoon characters in Russia
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:18:09 PM »
One fun thing to look for is Russian versions of Disney and other characters. There is a whole line of Winnie the Pooh characters on video, stuffed animals and even nested dolls.

A Unique Russian favorite is Cheburashka, A small furry creature that came to Russian in a  crate of Oranges. So faqr as anyone knows, he is one of a kind, but he has been appearing in many colors as the Olympic Mascot for Russian, replacing the soviet-era bear Mishka!
