Hermitage has raised ticket prices for foreigners

Hermitage has raised ticket prices for foreigners. Now, to enter the museum, other country nationalities that came to visit must pay 400 rubles, and not 350, as last year.
The Russians will still be able to visit the Hermitage at the price of 100 rubles. The right to a FREE visit to the Hermitage preserved for children, schoolchildren and students, regardless of nationality, as well as retirees, citizens of Russia, the participants and invalids of Great Patriotic War (WW2)and the residents of besieged Leningrad. In late December, the Hermitage director Mikhail Piotrovsky promised to balance ticket prices for Russian and foreign citizens. Later they canceled this idea.
Each year, the Hermitage visited by 2,5 million, of which about 500 thousand - foreign nationals.
