The Pushkin Square reconstruction will begin in 2010
« on: January 06, 2010, 07:09:42 AM »
In Moscow in 2010 will begin the Pushkin Square reconstruction.

The reconstruction of the Pushkin Square in Moscow will begin very soon, told the head of the Department of Road and Bridge and Tunnel Construction Alexander Levchenko. Earlier it was planned that Pushkin Square will be reconstructed in three-levels underground garage and the area that will house the exhibitions of artists, cafes and souvenir shops. The appearance of the Pushkin Square on the outside, will have no changes. In addition, the possibility of establishing,  a Youth Zone and skating rink under the Pushkin Square.

They tried to consider setting up there a shopping center and multileveled parking garage, but now the project seems canceled. There was a project for two tunnels for the main roads ring that it will be moved underground.

So, probably there will be no artists underground, just the road.

I hope to see the Square soon in a better shape.
