December 25, in Moscow begins [b]the first international music Bach Festival
[u]"From Christmas to Christmas"[/u].[/b]

Choosing a name for the festival due to the timing of the holidays: first concerts as part of this event will be held in the capital on December 25,2009, when the  Catholic Christmas, a festival will end on Jan. 7, 2010 - the day when the Orthodox celebrate Christmas.
The statements "From Christmas to Christmas" will involve 107 musicians from Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Austria, United States, Britain, Israel, Ukraine and Armenia. The festival program include - Russia's primere of recently discovered Bach's Concerto for flute, violin and strings.
Concerts will be held at the Armory in the Kremlin, the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Fine Arts Pushkin, in the Historical Museum, the Evangelical Lutheran Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul and the other halls and museums.
The festival was made by the charitable foundation to promote musical culture "Bel canto". Funds from the sale of tickets will be listed in the fund for assistance to disabled children.
