Birds Eye View Of Moscow
« on: June 17, 2009, 06:58:17 AM »
Hello,
Making a short trip to Moscow in May and wondered if there is anywhere I can go, such as a church tower or tall building, to take some birds-eye photographs of the city - especially the Red Square & Kremlin areas.

Thanks in advance for any replies and advice

-Luzhniki football stadium in Moscow and a bridge close by would be a good place to take some pictures from.
-You can also try to go to newly built sky-scrapers in Moscow-City center.
-Another point is at the Ostankino Tower, try to make it up the Ostankino TV Tower. Standing 540 metres (1772 ft) tall/high you can take a great pictures of the city.I think this is the highest point in Moscow. But before it had to be booked at least 5 days in advance.
- One more tower. You can also book an excursion but not earlier then 2 weeks before your visit http://www.federationtower.ru
-In the Red Square area you can visit an open roof bar in Ritz Carlton Hotel (Tverskaya Street). You will see a very good view of Kremlin and Red Square.
- You can also go up to the observation deck of the Jesus of the Savior Cathedral
-Also you can get the view of the city from bar in SwissHotel Krasnye Holmy
-  The wide opened outside view point Vorobyevy Gory (Sparrow Hills)(near the Moscow State University), but it is not close to historical center of Moscow.

Good luck!
