Railways are planning to run double-decker passenger cars on a number of directions of Russia, said vice president Michael Akulov.

"First and foremost we have to go double-decker cars on the Black Sea coast, due to many factors, including capacity constraints in the coastal area from Tuapse to Adler," - he said.
"We'll go double-decker/bank cars to the side of the Volga region: This region of Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov. And we look to the Ural region".
According to him, it is "the most tense areas, which lack the capacities of today.

"Our efforts to work with combinations of more than 22 trains, too exhausted: the "peak" times we go through the appointment of additional trains, which are sometimes so awkward schedule, and that demand for such a trip is sharply reduced, "- explained Akulov.

Time of occurrence of such cars on the Russian railways Akulov not specified. He only noted that in 2011, CFR will get a pilot batch of such equipment.
