BBC found the missing tape of "Anna Karenina" with Sean Connery.

In the archives of the BBC was found the English adaptation of the novel by Leo Tolstoy "Anna Karenina" in 1961. Tape has long been considered lost.

In a two-hour movie starring British film legend Claire Bloom and a young Sean Connery. The picture was shown only once on TV, and then lay on the shelf, and then completely disappeared from view. In this film adaptation has been very warmly received by critics, who praised the actor's work Connery in the role of Count Vronsky. Many believe that without this work in the filmography of the actor, it is unlikely he was invited to play the popular James Bond.

It is curious that "Anna Karenina" was discovered shortly before the anniversary of Sean Connery, who turns 80 on 25th of Aug. .

In the near future movie will be restored and released on DVD.
