Cooking Siberian Solyanka

Solyanka is a spicy soup of vegetables and meat, popular among many regions in Russia.
This is how to cook Siberian solyanka on mutton broth.

To cook it we need:
mutton broth,
veal,
bacon,
ham,
sausage,
one tomato,
tomato-paste,
pickled cucumbers,
olives,
lemon,
two tb. sp. capers
onion,
salt, pepper
and sour cream.

Cut up all the meat veal should be cut into smallest pieces

Chop the onion.

Put Veal into frying pan with olive oil and cook.

Then we add the smoked meats and fry it all until lightly cooked.

In the same oil we fry the onion for a couple of minutes.

Then we add there 3-4 tablespoonfuls of tomato paste and cook for another 4 minutes.

Cut the pickled cucumbers and the tomato.

Put it into a big pot with hot broth and the rest of ingredients: other fried stuff, tomatos, cucumbers and capers.

Bring it to boil and cook for 5-10 minutes and simmer to taste.

Now pouring a soup plate, adding a few olives, lemon and a tablespoonful of sour cream!

Yummy! especially on a cold day.
